As I write this, a late winter storm is blanketing the recently uncovered grass with a fresh coat of snow. The tree bows are heavy, leaning low above our heads. We pull up our collars and pull down our hats against the sharp wind.
Fortunately, it’s already bright and colourful Springtime in my studio! My torch and kiln keep me nice and toasty as I make my glass beads. Dyed and painted wooden shapes and beads lie about me in trays and pieces of jewellery, in various stages of completion, hang from hooks and racks.
This season find designs on my table in shades of Celery Green, Peachy Pink, and fresh, clear Lake-water Blue and Green. I’m also preparing a group in sunny Marigold Yellow. Poppy Red is on my mind as well. We’ll see if I get that far…
